Ok, so I just heard this term on MTV's "Girl Code".  If you've never seen the show, you should totally check it out, boy or girl.  They talk about hot topics or just everyday things and take them to an extreme, but also indicate what is socially and rightfully acceptable by the public.  It's very entertaining.

Definition: If you haven't already guessed, its a new term for back acne.  The acne on your back.
Orgin: Girl Code
Used in a sentence: "Whoa girl, you gotta treat that bacne"

Oh the places you will go

In this post I have embedded a map that shows all the places where the "New Age Lingo" is used. As you can see it's just about everywhere... except for Utah. I don't think Utah is up to date. This just shows how our language travels and progresses globally.

// : On the Grind : //

So you may have heard people saying they are "on the grind", but what does it mean?  Well...

 

#1.  Skateboarding.  Grinding that board on the concrete at the local skateboard.

#2. Working hard.  This could refer to working hard at getting a higher education, working lots of hours at your job, working out a lot, or giving your all to anything that requires a lot of work.

 

I'm not sure where the term originated, but it seems to have been first associated with the term "hustle".  Take that as you may... :)
