Definition:(According to Dictionary.com who states "Selfie" is a noun.  Side note: Blogger does not recognize the word yet...) A selfie is a photograph that is taken by oneself of themselves.  Some say this could included other people as well, I for one say, no.  That would be a "groupie".  Duh!

Origin: Term created shortly after smart phones entered our world.

Uses: To post to such social networks like; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, websites, ect.

Using "Selfie" in a sentence:
"My newest selfie posted on Facebook has 105 likes.  Everyone liked it except my MC" -said almost every teen/tween girl in America

Hey Folks!

My name is Danielle a.k.a. Danimal.  I like words, being hip, and having fun.

One day I walked into my restaurant job prepared to work, but little did I know I would soon be adding a new word to my vocabulary.  As people showed up late to work or made mistakes at their tables they began to express to my manager what was going on and why.  (Keep in mind the people I work with are not much on the professional side)… My manager, not happy about the way the night was going  would yell, "YOLO!!" before he began to do anything about the situation.  I was confused… what is the meaning of this word and why is he saying it every time some one has a problem?  What is going on here?  I soon discovered the meaning of the word; You Only Live Once.  It then appeared quite amusing (and quickly annoying) the way he used the phrase.

So here I am to help you guys understand the language of our time.  I assume most of you will know the meaning of the words I blog about, but I hope to entertain you and leave you with a good mental image of what these words mean and how they have shaped our generation.
